Get hooked on St George Region!

Are you looking for a fun and exciting activity to do with your family or friends in the St George Region this school holidays? Look no further than the new Scavenger Hunt that has just been launched in the region!

Boasting seven welcoming towns uniquely positioned on a river, you’ll fall for the St George Region in west Queensland hook, line, and sinker!

We’re so sure, we’re inviting everyone to join us these school holidays and take part in our first-ever St George Region – I Got Hooked Scavenger Hunt.

What’s more, not only will you snag the I Got Hooked on the St George Region collectable key ring as a memento of your trip, but there are also great prizes up for grabs including return flights for two people on Rex Airlines!

This will be an Outback adventure like no other. Whether you go it alone or team up with your family and friends, it’s all about having fun and seeing and experiencing our region.

Simply follow the clues and identity the nominated landmark in each of our seven towns of St George, Dirranbandi, Bollon, Hebel, Thallon, Nindigully and Mungindi. Then snap a picture and share to social media using the hashtag #IGotHooked.

With each clue you solve, you’ll collect a colourful town Fish Token to add to the special I Got Hooked on St George Region key ring on which you can proudly display your catch. Anyone who collects all seven tokens will then going into the draw to win.

Along the way, you’ll breathe in the fresh country air, explore the vast landscapes, and enjoy the freedom of our wide-open spaces. You’ll also experience famous historic Australian pubs, homesteads and painted silos.

Be sure to take time out to meander along our inland rivers and waterways which supply endless fields of produce and some of the best inland fishing in the country – don’t forget to bring your fishing rod!

The Scavenger Hunt will run from 24 May until 30 September 2023 with the winner announced at the beginning of October.
