The much-loved I Got Hooked on St George Region Scavenger Hunt is back – and it’s better than ever! Relaunching on Saturday 24 May to celebrate National Scavenger Hunt Day, this year’s adventure comes packed with fresh clues, a shiny new (and seriously collectible) fishy keyring, and a monthly prize to keep road-trippers well and truly on the hook.
To kick things off with a splash, we’re hosting a launch event at 10am on Saturday 24 May at the St George Region Explore Centre. Join the fun as teams of 2–4 take on a Mini Scavenger Hunt around St George, racing to solve riddles, reel in the answers, and hook the elusive Golden Yellowbelly Trophy – plus a cheeky cash prize for the fastest team. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s going to be a reel good time!
Here’s how it works: Gather your team at the Explore Centre by 10am sharp to collect your clue sheet. On the official’s signal, you’re off! Crack seven riddles to uncover St George’s iconic landmarks, snap a selfie at each one, and post it using #IGotHooked. Then race back to base and show your pics to the team. The first crew to land all seven locations and verify their snaps takes out the prize — hook, line and sinker!
Think you’ve got what it takes? Register your team online now, grab your clue sheet on the day, and get ready to hunt down glory.
Spots are limited, so don’t let this one be the fish that got away.
Let the ADVENTURE begin!
