Motoring into March
Don’t wait for the dust to settle before you go and check out the St George 399, be a front row spectator as they open the BF Goodrich CAMS AORC. If it’s more the leg pumping arm swinging action you’ve got a zest for, than the Battle on the Balonne will surely get the heart racing. With an amazing backdrop, cheer along as adults, teams and children compete to take out the triathlon trophy.

Amazing April
Easter in the Vines is set in the lush Riversands gardens offering the opportunity to enjoy a glass of Riversands best, all while socialising with friends and family. The promise of a good time with Live music, activities for the kids, great food and an all-round great vibe is sure to make for a memorable Easter weekend!
Dirranbandi show and Campdraft kicks off early Friday morning with all the horsing entertainment. A BBQ and bar will operate throughout the weekend ensuring young and old will be satisfied. Hang around for Show Day where you’ll experience sheep, wool, cattle and poultry alongside a full day of competitive yard dog trials and ring events. Take the opportunity to view various items from the community in the pavilions, rides, another day of Campdrafting and so much more.

Racing into July
Pull out your best outfits and prepare to have your shoes resoled. The Mungindi and St George Races are sure to impress. Along with a day of racing and fashions on the field, you’ll find food options, live entertainment and a fully licenced bar operating into the evening. Win some or lose some track side, the atmosphere will definitely be a winner.

Awesome August
Looking for something a little bit different? The Thallon State School P & C will once again proudly host the annual Thallon Team Truck Pull event. Witness Team’s of six pulling a prime mover all the way to the finish line, all keen to takeout the grand prize. Kids are guaranteed to have a blast at the Kids Zone while you enjoy unique market stalls, great food, open bar, live music and fantastic country hospitality.

Something for September
September brings all the cowboy entertainment with Bollon, Nindigully and St George Campdraft checkout the skills involved of very talented riders, with events for kids right through to adults. No need to go anywhere, there will be camping available, so roll out the swag from a full weekend of fun, skill and entertainment.
On the banks of the Balonne River, Care Balonne with host the River Dragon festival. A fun family day where you can enjoy a wide range of cultural activities such as cuisine, customs, arts and dance as well as a variety of entertainment on the water.

Hooking into October
Wet your line or your whistle and earn some bragging rights, maybe even an awesome prize or two. St George annual fishing comp is set for the long weekend in October, plenty of prizes to be won, bar and BBQ available while you size up with your mates.

Nindigully annual Pig Races raised a whopping $58,932.40 for the Royal Flying Doctors Service in 2021. A weekend of camping, pig races, live entertainment, auctions, food and so much more, guaranteed great time for the whole family.
