Thallon boasts a heritage trail and captivating art installations that are definitely worth a visit. The “Watering Hole” Heritage Trail showcases sculptures that pay homage to the town’s early residents.

Additionally, the art installations feature Silo Artists’ Drapl and The Zookeeper, along with charming wombat paintings on rainwater tanks, a mural on the local tennis court, and “Rogues Gallery” portraits of community members displayed beneath the old Railway Bridge over the Moonie River.

When you’re visiting the Rogues Gallery, keep an eye out for the Gamilaraay Scar Trees. The Trees are a precious link to the region’s proud Indigenous culture. The Gamilaraay people’s Ancestors used the cuttings from the trees as Coolamons and Shields.
